                On July 2015, The Language Unit of General Studies Department organized a programme called Gift of Gab. The programme, aimed to allow Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan (PIS) students to enhance their interpersonal and communication skills, was participated by the first semester students of the institution. 
The programme aimed to inculcate students’ interest in using the English Language, enhancing the interpersonal and communication skills of PIS students, vary the learning of English language among PIS students through activities and task fulfillments, and also to enable students to stand up and speak out their thoughts about current issues.
 
                Throughout the course of the event, a number of spectacular moments were captured. The winner of this competition fall to KESAVAN A/L RAVI, 09DEM 15F1116, CLERENCE LEWIN CHAMPIN, 09DEM15F1035 in second placed and MOHAMAD ILHAM BIN ZULKIFLI, 09DUP15F1033 at third placed. Kesavan A/L Ravi also won Jury Award due to his ability to deliver a good presentation and his fluency in English language.
 
                Towards the end of the programme, programme manager, Pn. Siti Faezah Binti Ahmad Sazali delivered her speech in front of almost 100 members of audience. In his speech, Pn. Siti faezah addressed the importance of taking part in any programme organized by the polytechnic. According to her, students would be gaining valuable experience that would be useful in their lives.
                It is hoped that such a programme will be carried out more often in the future. This is to ensure that PIS students are equipped with relevant knowledge and educational exposure before they have they become part of the workforce in the country.
