The participants involved were 60 Form 3 students from SMK Bandar Seri Alam.

Among the objectives of the programme were to encourage students to learn English language in a fun way through games and activities, and to enhance their abilities to deliver and speak confidently. They were also able to widen their English vocabulary. Students who were assigned as the facilitators were able to develop their generic skills such as leadership and problem-solving skills. Facilitators managed to conduct the language games in English confidently and interact with the participants.

There were four (4) games conducted at the school namely Tongue Twister Race (Reciting the lines properly while going through obstacles), Poisonous Grammar (identifying parts of speech in given situations), Paste the Picca/Pictures (pasting pictures to create proper sentence structure) and finally, Snake & Ladder and Bingo (answering grammar questions). The lecturers and facilitators from PIS arrived at SMK Bandar Seri Alam about 8:00 am. Participants were grouped at the school’s open hall; 10 groups consisting of 6 members in each group. The day started with an ice-breaking session followed by Tongue Twister Race and Poisonous Grammar respectively. The first two (2) games were conducted in the field. The last two (2) games were then conducted in the indoor hall (Dewan Budiman). Students were given the tasks instructed by the facilitators and the former had to complete them successfully. Each activity was facilitated by the assigned facilitators. The activities ran concurrently. It was a competition and winners were selected based on the highest points earned from all four (4) games.

The activities were also conducted by the facilitators concurrently in order to get everyone involved. Students had fun completing all the tasks. The activities managed to challenge their capability to speak well in the language. The PIS lecturers and facilitators arrived at Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan at about 1:00 pm on the same day. The involvement of facilitators and participants from the school helped strengthen the relationship with one another and motivated the students from both institutions to constantly improve their English proficiency. From this programme, students had the opportunity to learn and use language in the most interesting way. Ultimately, the programme instills their love for English Language.
