Program ini adalah untuk meraikan sambutan hari lahir staf JPA pada bulan Julai , Ogos dan September. Selain itu, diadakan juga program potluck bagi merapatkan hubungan silaturrahim sesama warga JPA serta memupuk kerjasama dalam membawa makanan untuk santapan semua. Seterusnya, ia turut dapat bertukar -tukar menu dan saling merasai menu-menu yang berbeza pada hari tersebut. Program ini telah dirancang dan diuruskan oleh jawatankuasa kebajikan JPA bagi memeriahkan lagi suasana JPA serta mengurangkan tekanan bekerja individu.

PLAY, SPEAK & DREAM ENGLISH 2016 REPORT

SUMMARY OF ACTIVITY	Play, Speak & Dream English 2016 (PSDE) was a two-day programme held at The Lotus Desaru Beach Resort, Bandar Penawar, Kota Tinggi Johor on 4th and 5th August 2016. The programme involved a number of lecturers and students. The students were given the roles as either participants or facilitators. Lecturers and students from Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan, Politeknik Melaka, Politeknik Mersing Johor and Politeknik Port Dickson collaborated to conduct various language games and activities. PSDE 2016 was organised and hosted by English Language Unit, General Studies Department, Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan in collaboration with Politeknik Melaka, Politeknik Mersing Johor and Politeknik Port Dickson. Among the objectives of PSDE were to encourage students to learn English language in a fun way through games and activities, and to enhance their abilities to deliver and speak confidently. Students who were assigned as facilitators were also able to develop their generic skills such as leadership and problem-solving skills. Day 1 of the programme (Thursday 4 August 2016): There were three (3) outdoor activities conducted in the compound of The Lotus Desaru Beach Resort, namely Treasure Hunt, Station Games (Game of Thrones) and Telematch. The day started with an ice-breaking session followed by Station Games (Game of Thrones), Telematch , and Treasure Hunt respectively. Students participants were given the tasks instructed by the students facilitators and the former had to complete them successfully. Each activity was facilitated by the assigned students facilitators. The Station Games and Telematch ran concurrently. Day 2 of the programme (5 August 2016): There was one (1) indoor activity conducted in Lian Hua Function Hall, The Lotus Desaru Beach Resort. The activity conducted was English Carnival in which all polytechnics opened up their booths and offered interesting games for the facilitators. English Carnival was an individually-based game, therefore each participant was involved. Students had fun completing all the tasks. The activities managed to challenge their capability to speak well in the language. The team from PIS arrived at Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan at about 11.00 pm on 15 August 2015.
IMPACT OF THE PROGRAMME	This programme has impacted on: a.    Students made an effort to communicate in English as all the activities were carried out in English language. b.    Students developed teamwork skills as all the activities required them to work in groups. c.    Students facilitators developed leadership skills as they had manage the whole activities with minimal assistance from the lecturers. d.    The lecturers and students were able to exchange and learn new English language activities that would help them in their T & L.
